15.07.11 The division head of the researches in the sphere of the superconductivity Victor Sytnikov (R&D Center for power engineering) made the appearance to the FGS UES management personnel

The opening ceremony of the plant “Siemens HV devices” LLC (Voronezh) was held the 1 June 2011.

INTEGRATED INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR OPERATIONS PERSONNEL
ASD Dispatcher:
  • three-level data display system;
  • adaptive changes of data volume and display format;
  • effective display of operation mode dynamics of power nodes and equipment;
  • active alarm notifications to alert users of system changes
  • RDCPE offers installation and deployment services for the Adaptive and Situation Display of Dispatcher Data Outcomes (ASD Dispatcher) software package.

    The ASD Dispatcher software ensures optimal coordination of the following four operations control points:

    • process and staff operations;
    • data content, volume and display;
    • operations crew – data limitations and requirements (engineering psychology);
    • work station (station ergonomics, content and placement of dispatcher displays and dashboards).


    ASD Dispatcher programs may be used for the following:

    • process control and staff operations;
    • electric power sector – operational control points of different levels and designations;
    • oil and gas sector – dispatcher operations;
    • piloted systems – dispatcher operations;
    • various situation rooms.


    The key differences between ASD Dispatcher package and conventional solutions include the following:

    • optimization of data volume provided at any given point;
    • general topological display of real-time data on the system mode and equipment;
    • intuitive and accessible display of the current operational status and any notable details.


    The system advantages include the following:

    • reduced risk of accidents and time of accident remediation;
    • rapid and accurate assessment of the current system status;
    • information support and comfort for the operations staff.


    Deployment of ASD Dispatcher package includes the following steps:

    • display data;
    • data engineering – preparing the database with regard to the following:

      • wide range of possible statuses of the grid and equipment;
      • status generation logic – either by tables or by universal topological processor;
      • topological graph (preferably in CIM format), if Universal topological processor is used;
    • enhancement of graphic utility in order to ensure display of new statuses and forms.


    ASD Dispatcher installation requires the following hardware:

    • collective use display interface (dispatcher dashboard);
    • individual workstation display interfaces.


    To date ASD Dispatcher has been deployed at the following facilities:

    • Leningradskoye regional dispatcher’s office;
    • Buryatskoye regional dispatcher’s office;
    • Middle Volga regional dispatcher’s office;
    • Donetsk power supply company;
    • Belgorodenergo.


    ASD Dispatcher system has been developed based on the following experience and research:

    • power plant accident response history;
    • EPRI+Lockheed research on “The Human Factor in Control Systems” based on analysis of accident investigation at nuclear power plants and control stations at electric energy facilities in the U.S.;
    • Deployment of new, innovative information technology solutions.
